The Papua New Guinea Tourism Industry Association or PNGTIA was incorporated on the 24th of January 2001, as a Tourism and Travel industry organisation to represent and speak for the common interests and concerns of all of the components of the PNG Tourism and Travel Industry. It is the only professional travel organisation in Papua New Guinea that brings together all sectors of the travel and tourism industry. The PNGTIA is a non-profit organisation, built to pursue and influence policies, programs and legislation that are responsive to the needs of the industry as a whole. The PNGTIA is governed by an Executive Committee of members, elected by member delegates at the annual general Assembly.
