EXPRESSIONS OF INTERESTS NOTICE
Opportunities for Consultants Under the European Union Economic Integration Program.

The South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) received funding from the European Union under the 9th European Development Fund (EDF) Pacific Regional Economic Integration Programme (PACREIP) to implement the Regional Tourism Development Component (RTDC).

SPTO is seeking suitable and qualified Consultants to undertake work in the following six areas;

  1. Designing and Planning of a South Pacific Specialized Agent Program
  2. Reviewing the South Pacific Tourism Brand and making recommendations based on the review study
  3. Redesigning and Upgrading of the South Pacific Tourism Organisation Website
  4. Review, upgrade and redesign of web sites of SPTO's Melanesian members
  5. The Design and Production of a new South Pacific Map
  6. Review of Regional Tourism Strategies
  7. Tourism Sector Investment

Consultancy periods are for between three to six months duration commencing in the first quarter of 2006.

Expressions of interest are now being sought from nationals of the ACP (which includes all Forum island countries) or of the European Union for the  six short-term consultants.   The Terms of Reference and further information relating to the above seven positions may be obtained from SPTO’s website www.spto.org.

The Expressions of interest should include full curriculum vitae, names and contact details of three referees and a one-page outline of the tasks that will be undertaken.  Consultants should also state their fixed price in Fijian dollars.

Three copies of Expressions of Interest should be submitted to the Chief Executive, South Pacific Tourism Organisation, P O Box 13119, Suva, Fiji, email tourism@spto.org , to arrive no later than 4.00pm (Suva time) Friday 17th March 2006.
